Arqana has released a provisional catalogue for its breeze-up sale between May 8 and 9, although printing will be delayed until further governmental announcements concerning the coronavirus epidemic allow the date to be confirmed or rescheduled.

Graduates of the event have been flying high in recent years, including Channel taking the French Oaks and War Of Will the Preakness in 2019.

Since January 1 of last year, 16 colts and fillies sold at the Arqana Breeze-Up have won at Group level and nine horses that were sold last May have already scored at stakes class. On the other side of the Atlantic, Ete Indien and Mr Monomy each took Kentucky Derby preps while the UAE Oaks winner Down On Da Bayou is another alumnus.

The catalogue offers a selection of 165 two-year-olds, including 30 siblings or half-siblings to Group/Listed winners, as well as 35 lots out of black-type winners.

A total of 38 consignors from France, Ireland and Britain are set to be involved with Willie Browne of Mocklershill registering 24 juveniles including a half-brother by Kingman to Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed Ligne D'Or and a half-brother by American Pharoah to OM, the Del Mar Derby winner as well as three other Group races on turf.

Some 10 colt and fillies will be presented by Longways Stables from Mick Murphy and Sarah O’Connell, who notably sold Le Brivido from this sale. They include granddaughter by American Pharoah to dual Group 1 winner Imagine that has also produced Group 1 scorer Horatio Nelson.

Brendan Holland's Grove Stud, consignor of Ocean Atlantique, the sales-topper of 2019 sale and a live hope for Andre Fabre has a 10-strong draft including a daughter of War Front out of Grade 3 victor Beauty Parlor.

Thomas Whitehead, who sent Ete Indien through the ring last year, has Down On Da Bayou's brother among his seven lots from Powerstown Stud

Among other notable two-year-olds catalogued is a sibling by Big Blue Kitten to Kameko, the easy winner of the rescheduled Group 1 Futurity Stakes from Church Farm & Horse Park Stud, a daughter of Invincible Spirit out of a sister to Group 1 scorer Virtual, dam of Fighting Irish, from Mayfield Stables and Kilminfoyle House Stud's Frankel colt out of dual Group winner Tickled Pink, from the excellent family of Halfway To Heaven.
