Tattersalls have catalogued 257 yearlings for its Ascot Yearling Sale, which takes place at Park Paddocks in Newmarket on Tuesday, September 8, with all lots eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.

The Ascot Yearling Sale has quickly established a reputation as a source of precocious juveniles who are producing results on the track for connections. Since last year, purchasers have sourced 32 individual two-year-old winners at an average price of £12,500, with nine black-type winners to date.

Graduates include the impressive Group 3 Molecomb Stakes winner Steel Bull, purchased for £15,000 from Rathasker Stud and entered for the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday, and Miss Amulet, the Listed Marwell Stakes winner purchased for £7,500 from Rockview Stables.

Other notable graduates include Liberty Beach, Shadn, Summer Sands and Urban Icon. Among this year's line-up are 96 siblings to two-year-old winners and 69 yearlings out of mares who won at two.

There are 20 siblings to black-type performers including an El Kabeir half-sister to the aforementioned Miss Amulet from Ringfort Stud, and a Gutaifan half-sister to the Listed-winning juvenile Flaming Princess from Linacre House Stud.

The catalogue also features the only yearling by Goken - already the sire of ten winners from his first crop - to be offered at a select sale in Britain this year.
