Keeneland's April Horses of Racing Age Sale all set to get under way
78 horses are offered both at Keeneland and off-site locations
Keeneland's April Horses of Racing Age Sale, which takes place on Monday from 1pm local time, will be conducted as a live integrated event with horses presented for sale at Keeneland and at off-site locations.
Among the 78 catalogued for sale include Keeneland Spring Meet winners American Bound (Hip 40), a two-year-old filly by American Freedom who was an impressive winner on debut, McEntee Racing's juvenile Frosted colt Baytown Frosty (77) and Brooke Marie (48), a five-year-old daughter of Lemon Drop Kid who won an allowance race on turf this month. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, she is catalogued as a racing or broodmare prospect.
Three horses catalogued who are located off site include Avenue de France (42), a winning daughter of Cityscape and consigned by ELiTE from her yard in Santa Anita, Captivance (78), a daughter of Gleneagles who won on debut on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs.
Both are consigned as racing or broodmare prospects, while the Eaton Sales-consigned Captivance is based is at Stonestreet Training Centre in Summerfield, Florida.
Buyers who cannot attend the sale live will be able to bid online with the auction being livestreamed on Keeneland.com. The catalogue is available through the Equibase iPad app and includes pedigrees, past performances and race videos.
Keeneland will also show a video of the off-site horses on Keeneland.com and on TV monitors.
