Mehmas continues to be hot property and €195,000 was enough for Haras du Mont-dit-Mont to secure a breeding right in Europe's champion first-season sire at Arqana's online sale on Tuesday evening.

The son of Acclamation has been the dominant force with his first crop, breaking the European record for individual winners as well as supplying Middle Park Stakes scorer Supremacy.

Mehmas has also produced the impressive Gimcrack winner Minzaal plus Listed victors Method and Acklam Express from the winners of 68 races to date.

Shares or breeding rights in five high-class stallions were offered at the auction, which was live throughout the afternoon. Arqana's previous online sale this month saw Elwick Stud go to €310,000 for a 1/50th share in the European champion.

A breeding right to Darley's Golden Horn, meanwhile, reached €42,000 when selling to Select Bloodstock. The Derby-winning son of Cape Cross has stood at Dalham Hall since his retirement from racing in 2015 and is responsible for Group 3 winner West End Girl plus Listed scorers Festive Star and Gold Wand.

Breeding rights in Whitsbury Manor Stud's Havana Grey and Due Diligence went for €19,000 and €6,000 to Blandford Bloodstock and Haras du Mont-dit-Mont respectively.

The former will have his first foals sell at Tattersalls' December Foal Sale this week, while Due Diligence has been represented by Group 3 winners Good Vibes and Streamline.

A 1/50th share in European champion Almanzor reached €240,000 but ultimately did not sell.
