The Auctav May Sale saw Ourebi, a Frankel half-sister to the dam of this year's Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches heroine Mangoustine, sell to Matt Coleman for €140,000.

The unraced daughter of the reigning champion sire had received a Classic-winning update when her niece saw off the gallant efforts of Newmarket heroine Cachet at Longchamp earlier this month.

Out of the Grade 3-winning Sinndar mare Louvain, Ourebi is a half-sister to Flotilla, a daughter of Mizzen Mast who struck in the French Classic as well as the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, and a full-sibling to the exciting Big Five, who struck in last season's Prix Right Royal at Chantilly.

Coleman told Auctav: "She's a quality Frankel filly who is the half-sister to a Classic winner and to the dam of another Classic winner. There are Group 1 winners in each of the first three dams. It's a fantastic family.

"She has been bought for an existing client in Ireland. In all likelihood she will be bred to Dark Angel next year to follow the nick that produced Mangoustine."

Mangoustine, a daughter of that sire, had secured her first top-level triumph this month having gone unbeaten as a juvenile in three starts, culminating in the Prix Miesque for Frederic Rossi.

Now with Mikel Delzangles, the three-year-old has now won four of her five starts. She was bred by Ecurie Des Monceaux, Lordship Stud and Qatar Bloodstock and sold to David Redvers for €46,000 at Arqana's Select Yearling Sale in 2020.
