Record number of lots catalogued for February Sale
57-strong draft from Godolphin to come under the hammer
A record 488 lots have been catalogued for the Tattersalls February Sale which will begin a two-day run on February 2.
For the first time the sale has been extended to two days due to an increased number of lots, and a mix of horses in training, broodmares and two-year-olds will be offered at the auction.
A 57-strong draft from Godolphin includes the Group 3 Italian 1,000 Guineas heroine Love Of Dubai (Lot 174), who is in foal to Dawn Approach, and Listed scorer Semayyel (73), who is carrying to Night Of Thunder.
Other interesting lots in the catalogue include Juddmonte's Piaffe (401), a half-sister to Group 1 winner Giant Treasure, and the Shadwell-consigned Murhibaany (61), a half-sister to multiple Group scorer Haatheq.
The Michael Dods-trained Easton Angel (100), a dual Listed winner and Group 2-placed, is an intriguing lot who will be offered by the Castlebridge Consignment.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: "The Tattersalls February Sale goes from strength to strength and this year's catalogue is not only the largest ever assembled for this fixture, but also a catalogue of real quality.
"The dam of 2016 St Leger winner Harbour Law was purchased at last year's February Sale, and there is no shortage of high-class breeding stock in this year's catalogue, as well as horses in training, two-year-olds and yearlings to appeal to the usual diverse mix of domestic and international buyers which typifies sale of this nature at Tattersalls."
The catalogue is available to view online now.
