Quality BBAG Sales & Racing Festival catalogue released
Yearlings catalogued include progeny by Isfahan, Protectionist and Kendargent
The catalogue for next month's BBAG Sales & Racing Festival auction is now online. It features predominantly yearlings, alongside a number of broodmares, foals and horses in training.
With 329 lots catalogued, comprising 238 yearlings, 59 broodmares, 30 horses in training and two foals, the sale is set to take place on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. Lots 1-100 will be sold on the first day and lots 101-329 on the second.
The mares offered are in foal to stallions such as Amaron, Best Solution, Counterattack, Dabirsim, Isfahan, Ivanhowe, Nutan, Reliable Man, Shamalgan, The Grey Gatsby and Waldpfad.
Yearlings catalogued include progeny by leading German sires Isfahan, Amaron, Lord Of England and Protectionist, as well as wider European stallions Australia, Ultra, Hunter's Light, Kendargent and Zarak.
The racing will take place at neighbouring Baden-Baden on Friday, October 15 and Sunday, October 17. On the first day of the auction the most valuable two-year race in Germany, the Ferdinand Leisten Memorial, will be held for a purse of €200,000.
Two Group races will be run on the Sunday, with the Winter Queen for juvenile fillies and the Baden-Württemberg Trophy for three-year-olds and over.
The printed catalogue will be sent out in the last week of September, while supplementary entries will be accepted until Wednesday, October 6.
