Group 1-winning sprinter The Wow Signal has his first foal on the ground in the shape of a filly born at Haras de Bouquetot in France on Thursday.

The new arrival is out of the unraced Mtoto mare Sister Golightly, who is a half-sister to Group 1 heroine Rajeem. The filly foal is a half-sister to the Group 3-placed Jeanne Girl and the Listed-placed Jack Boy.

Benoit Jeffroy, stud manager of Haras de Bouquetot, said: "She's a good filly with a big depth of girth and is correct. She is precious to us as everybody knows The Wow Signal only had a few mares in foal."

The Wow Signal, a five-year-old son of Starspangledbanner, was trained by John Quinn to win two races as a two-year-old including the Group 1 Prix Morny in impressive fashion.

Retired to stud due to injury, he will stand the upcoming breeding season at an unchanged fee of €8,000.
