One For Arthur's dam pregnant to leading French jumps sire
Nonnetia delivered a filly foal by Kayf Tara in February
Nonnetia - the dam of last year's Grand National hero One For Arthur - has been scanned in foal to leading French jumps sire Martaline, having delivered a filly by Kayf Tara in February.
"Martaline has enjoyed excellent success in the UK and Ireland and the stock I've had by him have sold very well," said breeder John Dwan of Ballyreddin Stud in County Kilkenny.
"We sold a yearling by the sire to Henrietta Knight for €75,000 at Tattersalls Ireland in November and he was the most expensive yearling of the sale.
"The Kayf Tara foal was a good size and a lovely, correct filly, and very similar to the mare's previous progeny."
Martaline, a 19-year-old son of Linamix, enjoyed a fruitful 2017-18 jumps season as sire of dual Grade 1 winners Terrefort and We Have A Dream, and is standing his 14th season at Haras de Montaigu at a career-high fee of €15,000.
Dwan is also looking forward to offering four lots at next week's Goffs UK Spring Store Sale, headed by a Getaway gelding out of What A Mewsment, who has produced three black-type performers including the promising Whatzdjazz, runner-up in the Listed handicap hurdle on the all-mares card at Cheltenham in April.
