No question, this foal has a marking to marvel
Verrazano filly born in Kentucky appears very inquisitive indeed
Many foals are described as being inquisitive, but a new arrival at Frankfort Park Farm in Kentucky is taking that to a different level.
The filly by Wood Memorial and Haskell Invitational hero Verrazano was born on Friday with a blaze that bears an uncanny resemblance to a question mark.
Fitting, perhaps, as she must have surely been wondering what all the white powder on the farm was, as Kentucky has been blanketed in snow over the past week.
As well as her novelty value, Olive Gallagher of Frankfort Park Farm said the filly has all the attributes to make into a top-class racehorse.
"She's the first foal born at Frankfort Park Farm in 2018 and is an exceptionally good-looking filly with great scope and substance," she said.
MMM Stables is the lucky owner of the filly who is out of My Fast One, a winning daughter of Elusive Quality and half-sister to stakes winner No Mo Dough.
Whoever eventually gets to race the foal, whether she is sold or MMM Stables retain her, that blaze has certainly set her owners a poser of thinking of a suitable name.
