Winter's sister Frosty sent shivers down her rivals' spines when winning on debut at Dundalk on Friday evening - the same course where Winter opened her own account as a two-year-old.

As second string for owner Susan Magnier, Frosty raced in the same all-pink silks carried to victory by Winter in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket, the first of four Group 1 wins for the brilliant daughter of Galileo.

Winter went on to annex the Irish equivalent at the Curragh, the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood.

The pair's dam Laddies Poker Two, by Choisir, was also successful at Royal Ascot for the Coolmore partners, in her case when landing a spectacular gamble in the Wokingham Stakes.

Galileo's affinity with speedily bred mares is no secret, with Laddies Poker Two from a family of sprinters tracing back to the Prix Morny heroine Ancient Regime.

Frosty holds an intriguing entry in the Fillies' Mile, though it would be no surprise should connections wait until the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown next April.

Winter finished second to Hydrangea in the same contest on just her second start, before she claimed the scalp of another star stablemate Rhododendron in the Newmarket Classic.

Fancy Feat - a Rajj sister to Group 3 winner I'm So Fancy - also caught the eye in second behind Frosty. I'm So Fancy is the highest rated daughter of the unraced Rajj on Racing Post Ratings, having posted a mark of 108 for winning the Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes at the Curragh.
