The Platonic family has been a priceless one for Ecurie des Monceaux over the years and one of the most important members, blue hen Prudenzia, continued her phenomenal ways in 2025.

A daughter of Dansili and Platonic, Prudenzia added a third Group 1 winner to her record in the form of unbeaten Prix Marcel Boussac heroine Diamond Necklace. That St Mark's Basilica filly topped the 2024 Arqana August Sale, while Prudenzia's now two-year-old Night Of Thunder daughter broke records at last year's sale when making €3 million to Amo Racing.

Prudenzia is also the dam of Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita, Australian Group 1 star Magic Wand and Prix de Diane runner-up Philomene, the last-named by Dubawi. The Dubawi theme continues for Prudenzia's covering this term as she will be among the first book of his son Delacroix, Coolmore’s Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes hero.

Henri Bozo, director of Ecurie des Monceaux, said of Prudenzia: "She's in really good shape and the mating with Dubawi has worked so well and I was so impressed with Delacroix. He was a very good racehorse, is very well bred and so is easy to use. We're very happy to put our trust in Delacroix with such a mare."

Prudenzia's sister Prudente will visit another son of Dubawi in the upwardly mobile Zarak, while their Montjeu half-sister Pacifique will feature in Muhaarar's first book at Haras de Montaigu. Pacifique has already produced the Group-winning filly and black-type producer Paix by the son of Oasis Dream, as well as the Group 2-placed Sir Bob Parker, by Siyouni.

Prudente's record includes Debutante Stakes winner and Classic-placed Vespertilio, a daughter of Night Of Thunder, while her yearling filly by Zarak sold to One Agency for €1.1 million at Arqana last year. Another from the family going to Zarak is Psara, an Invincible Spirit daughter of Pacifique and the dam of stakes scorer Yellow Jersey.

He said: "The family works so well with Dubawi and Prudente's yearling filly last year to me was quite outstanding. We were looking for a Dubawi line stallion, obviously Night Of Thunder is amazing and to me he's the next Dubawi, but he's hard to get into. I'm a great fan of Zarak and I loved the yearling by him who is now in training with Francis Graffard, so I was very happy to send her back."

The aforementioned Philomene, a Group-winning daughter of Dubawi, is booked in for Frankel alongside Right Hand and Run Away. Right Hand, a Lope De Vega half-sister to Prix Vermeille heroine Aventure, is the dam of 2025 stakes winner and Group-placed Audubon Park, while Run Away is a No Nay Never sister to Prix Morny and Middle Park Stakes winner Blackbeard, as well as last year's Norfolk Stakes winner Charles Darwin.

Bozo said: "Muhaarar has been a good stallion for us and has worked well with Pacifique and Prudenzia. Philomene is going back to Frankel as she has a very, very nice yearling filly by him."

Of Run Away, he added: "Unfortunately she lost her Wootton Bassett pregnancy, but she's now going to Frankel."

Siyouni has continued to deliver in spades for Ecurie des Monceaux, among breeders worldwide in general, and the Aga Khan Studs' champion will again receive strong support. One of the mares heading his way is Mangoustine, a winner of the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches who has a yearling filly by him.

Another is Bouffant, a Galileo daughter of Classic winner Beauty Parlour and a half-sister to American Grade 1 victress Blowout, as well as Calculatrice, a Manduro mare from an exceptionally strong Wertheimer family. The latter's three-year-old Siyouni daughter, Argentella, was a nine-length winner on her debut for Andre Fabre at Saint-Cloud in November.

Ecurie des Monceaux's mating list includes a number of new sires for this year. Alongside Delacroix, Coolmore's Classic-winning sons of Wootton Bassett, Henri Matisse and Camille Pissarro, will also be called upon.

Poule d'Essai des Poulains victor Henri Matisse will receive Deft, a Dubawi half-sister to Oaks heroine Talent, while Prix du Jockey Club scorer Camille Pissarro's debut book will include Flaunt, a Frankel half-sister to the top-class Lillie Langtry, dam of Classic winners Minding, Tuesday and Empress Josephine.

Bozo said: "The likes of Lope De Vega, Night Of Thunder, Frankel, Kingman, Siyouni and Starspangledbanner are really filling the gap, but then what's exciting is there's some stallions who are starting to become proven and will hopefully take the next step. They include Zarak, Sioux Nation, Havana Grey, Blue Point and St Mark's Basilica.

"There's a good group who've a chance to become top stallions, while there are a few very exciting first-season or second-season stallions. Even if we've lost one or two proven stallions, there's still plenty of young sires who you can take a chance on. Of the very young stallions, we like Rosallion, Delacroix, Henri Matisse, Camille Pissarro and Maranoa Charlie. There's also Charyn who is in his second year."

Charyn's mare from the operation is Angel Falls, the dam of Group 1-winning juvenile National Defense and from the family of Derby hero Adayar. Starman, a sensation last year when being crowned champion first-season sire, is set to receive Royal Wedding, a Lope De Vega half-sister to unbeaten Royal Lodge Stakes winner and 2026 Classic hope Bow Echo.

Of the established sires, Sea The Stars will receive Hidden Angel, a Dark Angel half-sister to his top-class daughter Emily Upjohn, Light Dream, a Wertheimer bred half-sister to Plumania and Balladeuse, and Everest Rose, a Dubawi sister to Arabian Crown.

Lope De Vega is set to cover Enchanting Skies, the dam of high-class performer and Haras d'Etreham's new sire Beauvatier, as well as Eliade, a Teofilo sister to the Group 1-placed Queen Trezy from the George Strawbridge family of top-flight winners Call The Wind, Friendly Soul, With You, We Are and Kelina.

Starspangledbanner enjoyed a banner year in 2025 with top juveniles Gstaad and Precise and he will cover Pearls Angel, a half-sister to Matron Stakes heroine Pearls Galore. Fellow Coolmore sire No Nay Never will have a date with Saturne, a Muhaarar three-parts sister to Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere victor Naaqoos.
