The red-hot No Nay Never capped a sensational weekend with a fifth individual Group 1 winner when Blackbeard produced the goods in the Darley Prix Morny in Deauville.

The Ballydoyle colt was completing a trio of Group-race wins for the son of Scat Daddy's current two-year-old crop, with the unbeaten pair of Aesop's Fables and Meditate maintaining their records in the Futurity and Debutante Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.

No Nay Never's juvenile crop are the first conceived off a six-figure fee, an quadruple increase to €100,000 (from €25,000) in 2019 following the exploits of first-crop performers such as Middle Park Stakes winner Ten Sovereigns and Richmond Stakes victor Land Force.

The former went on to land the July Cup at three, while other top-class performers to emerge include the brilliant Coronation and Sussex Stakes winner Alcohol Free, who won the Cheveley Park Stakes at two and landed the July Cup this summer at four.

The Coolmore resident has been represented by five individual Group winners from this juvenile crop, headed by the phenomenally exciting Little Big Bear, a wide-margin winner of the Phoenix Stakes, as well as the aforementioned Aesop's Fables and Meditate.

No Nay Never is also responsible for the promising Molecomb Stakes winner Trillium, a two-time winner for Richard Hannon and Rockcliffe Stud, and Queen Olly, third to the high-class Mawj in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket last month.

Blackbeard, who was bred by Newstead Breeding, sold to Jamie McCalmont for 270,000gns from the Tattersalls December Foal Sale in 2020.

The two-year-old is the first foal out of the winning daughter Muirin, a Born To Sea sister to French winner Sea Of Reality and in turn out of Phoenix Sprint Stakes winner Girouette (by Pivotal). Glenvale Stud will offer the colt's full-sister at the upcoming Goffs Orby Sale, while the mare has a full-brother foal to the pair.
