Tessa Greatrex joins the Arqana overseas representative team
Agent will focus on the National Hunt discipline in Britain
Tessa Greatrex has joined the Arqana overseas representative team with a focus on National Hunt in Britain.
With 15 years of experience in buying racehorses for owners, breeders and trainers, including her husband Warren, Greatrex began her career with Richard and Sally Aston at Goldford Stud before moving to the US where she spent several years with Jonathan Sheppard and Leo O'Brien. She then worked with Nicky Henderson before joining Highflyer Bloodstock.
Greatrex is familiar with racing in all its different facets and has ridden as an amateur jockey and eventing. She is also a member of the TBA National Hunt Committee.
Greatrex said: "I'm delighted to be joining the Arqana team and am very much looking forward to this opportunity in helping expand Arqana sales to the racing and breeding professionals from the UK."
Arqana executive director Freddy Powell said: "It's a great pleasure to welcome Tessa to our overseas team. She brings with her a vast network and knowledge of the jumping discipline. She will be responsible for facilitating access to the Arqana sales for English professionals and investors in the National Hunt sphere.
"Arqana has long been a leader in the French National Hunt market. With Tessa's help, we'll work to strengthen this position by making our sales of foals, yearlings, stores and horses in training even more easily accessible to all."
