Elaine Chivers has applied some of the knowledge from founding an IT company over 30 years ago into her more recent foray into breeding bloodstock, but even her most sophisticated programming technology would not have foreseen what happened to her first notable horse.

By exactly this time in 2014 she was no longer involved in Tiggy Wiggy, the £41,000 Premier Yearling Sale purchase who delivered perhaps her most famous performance in the Weatherbys Super Sprint, chewing up her rivals from the front and coming home six lengths clear.

Having been owned by Chivers in partnership with Jared Sullivan’s Potensis, the Kodiac filly was bought into by Merriebelle Stables after a similarly slick victory in Sandown’s National Stakes, with Chivers' involvement ending.
