Siblings to Ferny Hollow and Frodon head Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale entries
Classy catalogue includes siblings to no less than 14 Grade 1 winners
Tattersalls Ireland have unveiled the 400 lots that comprise the catalogue for this year's Derby Sale, which is scheduled to take place at Fairyhouse on June 23 and 24.
The stellar offering is headed by siblings to no less than 14 Grade 1 winners. Among the standouts are:
- Lot 28 – Brave Mansonnien brother to Bravemansgame
- Lot 129 – Shantou brother to Death Duty
- Lot 131 – Westerner brother to Ferny Hollow
- Lot 133 – Kapgrade half-sister to Frodon
- Lot 216 – Walk In The Park half-brother to Hurricane Fly
- Lot 225 – Kingston Hill half-brother to Don’t Touch It
- Lot 230 – Walk In The Park half-sister to Blow By Blow
- Lot 245 – Mount Nelson half-brother to Macs Joy
- Lot 259 – Leading Light half-sister to Potters Point
- Lot 307 – Elusive Pimpernel half-brother to Sporting John
- Lot 376 – Walk In The Park half-brother to Champ
- Lot 390 – Beat Hollow half-brother to Don Poli
Last year's sale was topped by the Walk In The Park half-sister to top-class chaser Altior, who made €300,000 to the bid of Gordon Elliott and Aidan O'Ryan.
The latest National Hunt season has seen a number of past Derby Sale graduates excel at the highest level, with Appreciate It, Black Tears, Honeysuckle, Monkfish and Shishkin all scoring at the Cheltenham Festival.
All horses catalogued for the Derby Sale are eligible for the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper in 2022.
