Kimmins has a lot to live up to when she makes her debut for Nicky Henderson and owner JP McManus in the second of the jumpers' bumpers (12.45) at Lingfield on Monday.

The High Chaparral mare was one of the members of a dispersal by Richard Kelvin-Hughes and Trull House Stud at Goffs UK three years ago, her influential dam Tinagoodnight being another member of the draft to go through the ring.

Kimmins was to head to a trainer particularly familiar with the family when sold for £62,000 to Michael Hyde. Henderson not only trained Tinagoodnight to a novice hurdle win, he also has the broodmare's best foal to date, Cotswold Chase and Sefton Novices' Hurdle winner Santini in his stable.

Tinagoodnight's other two foals to have raced have also shown distinct ability. Dusky Legend was third in the Dawn Run at the Cheltenham Festival and achieved a host more placed black type, while Rockpoint was a Grade 2 winner in a novice hurdle at Cheltenham's December meeting.

Kimmins will have to be quite useful to make a winning debut as she has two more experienced stable companions, Lelantos and Italian Legend, in opposition.

Hughie Morrison's Miss Austen and others such as Datsalrightgino make it quite a competitive affair.
