Exciting sprinter Marchogion the highlight of Tattersalls Online September Sale

Progressive three-year-old sprinter Marchogion is the stand-out name in the catalogue for next week's Tattersalls Online September Sale which has just been released.

The recent Chester winner (lot 71) is a son of leading sprint sire Mehmas and will be offered by trainer Andrew Balding's Kingsclere Training Stables on behalf of Opulence Thoroughbreds.

Marchogion is for sale with a career-best Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 104 which he attained at Chester last time out and has won or been placed in half of his 12 starts.

A breeding right in Mehmas's Tally Ho Stud mate Cotai Glory is also for sale in the online auction along with a share in Rathbarry Stud stallion Kodi Bear, sire of last month's Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Lifeplan.

A total of 183 lots will be on offer during the sale which beings on Tuesday, September 16 and closes on Wednesday, September 17.

Marchogion is the highlight of the 147 horses either in or out of training who are joined in the catalogue by 23 broodmares including New Romance (174), an unraced daughter of Dubawi and the Group 2 Middleton Stakes winner New Romance. The six-year-old is the dam of a yearling filly by Zoustar.

Barton Sale offers El Gumryah (166), a winning daughter of No Nay Never and in foal to Bradsell, the multiple Group 1-winning sprinter who completed his first season at The National Stud.

Yearlings from the second crops of Lucky Vega, Alkumait and Nando Parrado are also catalogued along with stores by Pillar Coral and Telescope amongst others.

Britain and Ireland's reigning champion National Hunt trainer Willie Mullins consigns a trio of horses in training as well as leading trainers Jessica Harrington and Gordon Elliott.

Sir Mark Prescott, Ralph Beckett, Richard Fahey and Paddy Twomey are amongst the top Flat trainers with horses on offer.
