Exciting four-year-old prospects among initial Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale entries

Debut bumper scorer Young Rebel, a son of exciting young sire Crystal Ocean, features among the initial entries for the Tattersalls Cheltenham December Sale next Friday.
Trained and part-owned by Mags Mullins, Young Rebel caught the eye when striking on his debut in a bumper at Fairyhouse last week. His sire, the Beeches Stud-based Crystal Ocean, is beginning to impress with his early progeny, including last week's Newbury Listed fillies' juvenile hurdle scorer Highland Crystal.
Young Rebel features among a number of promising four-year-olds in the early catalogue.
Michael Murphy of Redbridge Stables has entered two debut-winning pointers: Make Me Smile, a winner at Tinahely and a Feel Like Dancing half-brother to Grade 2 winner Deafening Silence, and Quest For Answers, a 20-length winner at Borris House in November.
Other entries include Maxios Des Champs, a smart winner at Boulta for Eamonn Doyle and the Mossy Fen Partnership, and Sean Doyle’s Order On Time, a good second on his debut in the four-year-old geldings’ maiden at Turtulla last month.

It has been a rewarding period for horses coming from these auctions and Tattersalls Cheltenham sales manager Shirley Anderson-Jolag said: "Two of the three Grade 1 chases run in Ireland this season have been won by Tattersalls Cheltenham graduates; it is a great reflection of the quality of horse that can be purchased in the Tattersalls Cheltenham sale ring.
"It was a thrill to watch the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival graduate Romeo Coolio successful in such comprehensive fashion in last weekend’s Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase. Now that he has stepped up to jumping fences, he is fulfilling all that he has promised and has so much potential in his chasing career.
“After the record-breaking Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale, we are looking forward to closing out 2025 with a vibrant sale on December 12."
Entries for the sale will be open through to Monday with point-to-points due to take place in Ireland this weekend at Dromahane, Ballycrystal and Tattersalls, and in Britain at Wadebridge and Chaddesley Corbett.
