Goffs has announced its new GoffsGo digital platform that will allow for sales all year round and tailored to the vendor's specific requirements.

One of the key selling points of the new service is the option for confidentiality as Henry Beeby, the company's group chief executive outlined.

“We have built this service with flexibility in mind, and part of that point of difference that GoffsGo offers is the option of discretion," he said. "So for those who wish to utilise all the benefits of selling with Goffs, and all our renowned service and integrity, but want to do so in a controlled, confidential manner, GoffsGo can provide that."

GoffsGo will offer varying degrees of confidentiality to vendors with sales ranging from the traditional public auctions to new, confidential sales that will be accessible only to approved parties and the results will not be disclosed.

"As with every Goffs sale, GoffsGo aspires to the highest standards of integrity and welfare," Beeby commented.

"Therefore, all lots offered on GoffsGo will be accompanied with a vendor supplied veterinary certificate against which buyers can vet while the Goffs conditions of sale have been specially adapted for this service but still provide the protection and transparency clients know and appreciate when utilising the Goffs service."

There will be no set dates for auctions, instead vendors can opt to sell at their convenience any day of the year. Horses will be offered for sale as soon as they go live on the website and bidding will take place over a set period of time, anticipated to be anywhere from three to five days.

To oversee GoffsGo, the company has appointed Ruairi Breen as its online sales executive.

“Ruairi comes to Goffs from Jessica Harrington's team where he held the position of race planner and owner communications and brings a wealth of racing knowledge to the role, and we look forward to seeing him drive this new and unique service forward," Beeby added.

The company aims to stage the first auctions on its new platform as soon as next week with an introductory offer of a reduced entry fee.

Beeby said: "Entries for GoffsGo are open now, we are offering great value to introduce the service with entry fees from just £49, and we expect to launch the website in the coming week or so with horses on the market and selling."

Buyers who wish to bid in a GoffsGo auction will still have to register with the company but once approved their credit will be for a period of time rather than just that sale, providing them with the opportunity to take part in all auctions hosted on the platform within that period of time.

The platform will also allow users to set up preferences so that they can be alerted when a horse matching their criteria is being offered for sale.
