Recent Fairyhouse winner and a half-sister to Bravemansgame headline horses up for sale at the Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale

A total of nearly 50 lots will be up for grabs at the Tattersalls Cheltenham November Sale, which takes place after racing at the Gloucestershire track on Friday.
The catalogue initially comprised 41 four-year-old British and Irish-trained point-to-pointers and form horses, ten five-year-olds, and a recent five-length winner of a three-year-old academy hurdle at Fairyhouse.
“We’re delighted with the catalogue and we have a really good range of sires on offer,” said Tattersalls’ Jamie Codd.
“As is usual at a Cheltenham sale, we have something for everyone. There are some beautiful horses here who have won first time out or maybe on their second run, but we also like to think we cater for the people that don’t have a big budget and have a great shop window at all levels in this sale.”
One of the many quality lots set to come under the hammer is Minella Yoga (lot 52), who bolted up by five lengths on his debut for top conditioner and trainer John Nallen in a hurdle contest for three-year-olds over two miles and a furlong at Fairyhouse this month.
Bred by the Niarchos family and picked up by Lucky Jack Bloodstock for €35,000, he is by Lanwades Stud stallion Study Of Man, who has had just six runners over hurdles for three winners including last month's Listed Wensleydale Juvenile Hurdle winner Minella Study – who was also purchased by Lucky Jack Bloodstock.

He is a half-brother to four winners, including hurdles scorer Ninth Titan and Flat winners It's Tim and Ashtanga, being out of the Monsun mare Yoga, who is a half-sister to German Group 1 winner Saddex.
“We’re very grateful to John Nallen for bringing this horse to the sale," said Codd. "He’s run around a Grade 1 track at Fairyhouse and when you see him from the back of the second-last hurdle to the line, he’s just going further clear of horses from proven trainers.
“He’s a beautiful physical and he looks to have the ability to match that, so I hope that John will be well rewarded.”
Another lot sure to be of interest is Dawn Of Light (23), who was a stylish 20-length winner of a point-to-point at Quakerstown for renowned producer Colin Bowe last weekend.
A daughter of Mahler and out of the Nickname mare Genifique, the four-year-old was bred by and is being offered by Richard Busher, who also sold the filly’s famous half-brother, the 2022 King George VI Chase winner Bravemansgame, at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale, before he was purchased by Paul Nicholls and Tom Malone for £370,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale in 2019.
“She is from Richard Busher, who has the dam of Bravemansgame,” said Codd. “She was very impressive in her point-to-point win at Quakerstown, which is a proven track in County Clare, and Richard is very excited to be here. I'm hopeful she will fill the eye of potential purchasers at the sale.”

Last year's sale-topper was recent impressive maiden hurdle winner Kovanis, who sold to his now trainer Gordon Elliott for £330,000, and his sire Tunis has another interesting representative this year in Jardin De Tunis (27).
Consigned by Ballycrystal Stables, the four-year-old is a half-brother to the Grade 3-placed winner Joie Du Net being out of the winning mare Juntina, who is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Juntico, Listed winner Azulejo, and Jarro, a six-time winner for Venetia Williams.
Walk In The Park, champion National Hunt sire for the past two years, has a quartet of lots set to go through the ring, including recent Dromahane point-to-point runner-up Soul Asylum (38).
Out of the Alkaadhem mare Miss Joeking, who was a dual winner for trainer Lucinda Russell, Soul Asylum is a half-brother to She's Notjoeking, a hurdles and bumper winner for Russell by late Grange Stud stallion Milan.
Codd said: “He looks good. He was a bit green in running but stayed on well to the line after the second-last and the last in his point-to-point at a track that has produced so many good horses, like Honeysuckle. I know Colin likes him, and Walk In The Park needs no introduction as a fantastic stallion. He should prove popular here."
Codd continued: “Lot 34 is Eskylady, a half-sister to Eskylane, who was highly rated for Gordon Elliott, and she’s one of the fillies to keep an eye on.
“Our Peggy [49], from Jonathan Fogarty, has a great pedigree that goes back to [Grade 2 winner] Scarthy Lad, while lot 24, Golden Heart, is also from Fogarty’s and he's a Golden Horn [sire of Champion Hurdle winner Golden Ace and Triumph Hurdle winner Poniros] gelding, a beautiful physical who deserves a mention.
“There’s also Governors Rock, lot 45, who is a dual bumper winner in Ireland. I think he could be a really good horse and he’s definitely one to keep an eye. I hope he’s a good graduate of the sale.”
The lots will be stabled in the Charles Turner yard and will be available to view from 8.30am. The sale is due to get under way at 4.45pm.
