Quilita, dam of Triumph Hurdle hero Quilixios, to be offered at Goffs Online
The Lomitas mare is in foal to 2019 Arc hero and Ballylinch Stud sire Waldgeist
Quilita, the dam of Cheveley Park's dual Grade 1-winning hurdler Quilixios, will be offered for sale on the Goffs Online platform on Tuesday.
The daughter of Lomitas, who was Group-placed in Germany during her racing career, has produced four winners to date including last year's Triumph Hurdle and Tattersalls Ireland Spring Juvenile Hurdle scorer Quilixios, a son of Maxios who was Graded-placed in all three starts last season.
Trained by Henry de Bromhead for Cheveley Park, the gelding has won five of his nine starts and placed a further three times. He is a half-brother to winning Flat performers Colour Sergeant (by Kingman) and Queen Constantine, a daughter of Holy Roman Emperor.
Their 12-year-old dam is offered by Oghill House Stud on behalf of Sean Martin and is in foal to Ballylinch Stud sire and 2019 Arc hero Waldgeist.
The sale will take place on Tuesday with bidding opening at 11am and closing at 1pm. The mare's pedigree, along with conformation video, photos, race footage and veterinary information, can be viewed online.
Goffs Group chief executive Henry Beeby said: “Quilita is a proven Grade 1 producer and we are delighted to offer breeders this rare opportunity to purchase a blue-blooded National Hunt mare online with Goffs.
"Goffs Instant Online is our enhanced and user-friendly platform that caters for quality thoroughbreds at any time to suit sellers, while buyers can participate from anywhere in the world at the click of a mouse. Our most recent example was the successful sale of another Cheltenham Festival dam in Queen Of The Stage.
"We would like to extend our thanks to Quilita’s owner Sean Martin for choosing Goffs Online and look forward to next week’s sale."
