Promising Hyde pair among early intake for Doncaster's January Sale
Limerick Grade 3 scorer Soviet Pimpernel also included
Two potential stars from the Camas Park nursery of Timmy Hyde and the recent Grade 3 winner Soviet Pimpernel head the line-up of initial entries for the point-to-point and form horse session of the Goffs UK January Sale.
Hyde's Keskonrisk claimed a highly impressive debut victory in the bumper at Fairyhouse on New Year’s Day, the Racing Post commenting that he "appeals as a horse with a future over jumps after this convincing debut success".
A five-year-old son of No Risk At All, Keskonrisk is a half-brother to last season's Kingwell Hurdle winner Grand Sancy.
Hyde's other entry is the equally impressive Vanillier, who took the second division of the four-year-old maiden point for Sam Curling at Dromahane on December 30 in a decent time.
Early entries for the event, held at Doncaster between January 21 and 22, also feature Soviet Pimpernel, who won the Irish Independent Hurdle at Limerick for Peter Fahey on December 29.
The lightly-raced five-year-old has Cheltenham form, having finished a close second to Quel Destin in October.
A host of high-class pointers have also been entered, many of which ran at the same Dromahane meeting as Vanillier. They include Fishkho, a Sholokhov who was second in the race for Robert Tyner and his stablemate Not A Loss, a six-length winner of the mares' maiden.
The five-year-old maiden scorer Movethechains, impressive Borris House winner Do The Floss and Take Your Time, who obliged by a wide margin at Alnwick on December 15, are other notable inclusions.
The main January Sale catalogue featuring more point-to-point and form horses, as well as a strong selection of National Hunt mares and foals, will be released online on Tuesday afternoon next week but point-to-point and form horse entries will be taken up to the time of the sale.
