Le Havre had his fee increased from €7,000 to €20,000 for the 2015 breeding season at Haras de la Cauviniere (now Montfort et Preaux), in recognition of his first-crop daughter Avenir Certain landing the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches and Prix de Diane and Auvray and Queen Bee also scoring at Pattern level.

The son of Noverre has not let down those supporters who paid the more expensive price for his services as the resultant crop, now three-year-olds, have been in tremendous form of late and on Sunday two of them – Olendon and Urwald – scored in consecutive Listed contests at Longchamp.

Olendon, trained by Pascal Bary for Le Havre's owner and stalwart supporter Gerard Augustin-Normand, took the Prix Finlande for three-year-olds over 1m1f by three quarters of a length from Blanche Doree, a daughter of Havana Gold trained by Jean-Claude Rouget.

Prix du Pont Neuf

She was bred by Pascale Menard's Haras du Ma out of the winning Sunday Break mare Talema, a half-sister to Prix du Calvados winner Mambia.

The dam – who is in turn out of Algoa, a Common Grounds half-sister to Prix Maurice de Nieuil winner and Prix du Cadran runner-up Incanto Dream – has a two-year-old colt by Le Havre named Torteval with Czech trainer Stepanka Myskova and a yearling filly by Rajsaman called Tournieres who was knocked down for just €2,000 at this year's Arqana February Sale.

Olendon herself was purchased by Montfort et Preaux's Sylvain Vidal for €65,000 from the Fairway Consignment draft at the V2 section of the Arqana August Yearling Sale.

Urwald sprang something of a surprise in the Prix du Pont Neuf over 7f to complete the Listed double for Le Havre, his Andre Fabre-trained stablemate Epic Hero flopping at odds of 1-2 in fourth place in the race.

Urwald represents owner-breeder Andreas Putsch of Haras de Saint-Pair and is a half-brother to winners Waldfee and Westerwald out of the Group 2-placed Observatory mare Waldjagd, who hails from a deep family with German roots.

Waldjagd is out of the German St Leger winner and Deutschland-Preis runner-up Wurftaube, whose other progeny include German Derby hero Waldpark, Listed scorer Waldvogel and Falmouth Stakes runner-up Waldmark, the dam of St Leger victor Masked Marvel and Prix Penelope scorer Waldlerche.

Waldlerche is in turn the dam of Waldgeist, who notched his third Group 1 success with a smooth victory in the Prix Ganay later on the card at Longchamp.

Waldlerche has a two-year-old filly by Muhaarar and a yearling filly by Intello, and is being covered by Camelot this year.

Olendon and Urwald made it six stakes winners from Le Havre's three-year-old crop, along with Platane (Prix Vanteaux), Pourville (Hochai Hai Fillies' Revue), Boitron (Denford Stakes) and Volskha (Prix du Haras des Granges).

The sire is also stockpiling promising winners of that age, with Dubai Instinct making all to score for Brian Meehan at Nottingham this month; Motamarris making it two from two for Freddy Head with victory in a conditions race at Longchamp on Monday; and Montabot winning on debut in the competitive Prix Juigne on the same card.

There is also Khagan, a three-length Saint-Cloud maiden winner for Andre Fabre and Godolphin this month, among others.

Le Havre, a Prix du Jockey Club winner and Poule d'Essai des Poulains runner-up by Noverre, has three Group/Grade 1 winners to his name - La Cressonniere and Suedois as well as Avenir Certain.

His fee at Montfort et Preaux this year is €45,000.
