Lumet Show set to start with high-class catalogue on tenth anniversary
Sale graduates include Grade 1-placed Burn Out and Ramses De Teillee
Arqana's Lumet Show gets under way from 2.30pm local time on Saturday with a selection of well-bred National Hunt-bred youngsters going under the hammer, including a Non Rien De Rien gelding from the family of brilliant hurdler Apple's Jade.
Consigned by Ecuries de la Ridaudiere, the two-year-old (lot 26) out of the unraced Cadoudal mare Silver For Apple's is just one of the highlights of the catalogue for an event which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
Among the graduates of the sale are Monster Caroli, the winner of his last four starts and last seen winning the Listed Prix Dawn Run at Auteuil in June, along with Listed-winning chaser and Grade 1 Prix Ferdinand Dufaure third Burn Out, and dual Grade 2 hurdle winner and Grade 3 Cheltenham chase winner Ramses De Teillee.
With that record to hand, buyers' attention will turn to this year's event and the lots on offer.
Also among the catalogue are the likes of Giorgia Rose (15), a daughter of Kapgarde from the family of Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris winner Bel La Vie, and Koronatique (22), by Voiladenuo and a relation to Peter Marsh Chase winner and Betfair Chase second Royale Pagaille.
Also on offer is Santa Coko (24), a daughter of Cokoriko and out of a full-sister to Grade 2 Prix Jean Stern winner Santa Bamba and a half-sister to multiple top-level scorer De Bon Coeur.
The sale, which is jointly organised by David Lumet and Arqana, will see the pre-trained two- and three-year-olds put through their paces at 9.30am before selling in the afternoon. Videos of them jumping can also be seen by prospective purchasers.
