Fasig-Tipton has announced the catalogue for its November Sale, which features a host of brilliant broodmares and outstanding broodmare prospects, as well as regally bred weanlings among the 300 featured lots.

The sale, which takes place in Lexington on November 4, the day after the Breeders' Cup concludes, has firmly established itself as one of the jewels in the international sales calendar, regularly attracting superstar horses and seven-figure bids.

Boyd Browning, president of Fasig-Tipton, believes the 2024 catalogue is the strongest one they have compiled,

“Fasig-Tipton has assembled some outstanding November catalogues through the years, but this may be our deepest yet. We have 70 graded stakes winners or producers catalogued, 24 of which are Grade 1," he said.

“We have international champions, a Breeders’ Cup winner, the dam of the Kentucky Derby winner, multiple mares in foal to the world’s leading stallions, and an exceptional group of weanlings – all offered in a single afternoon and evening session,” continued Browning.

That Breeders' Cup winner is Pizza Bianca who won the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf in the colours of celebrity chef Bobby Flay. The Fastnet Rock mare, who was also second in the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes and third in the Matriarch Stakes, was bought at the 2023 November Sale by John Stewart for $3,000,000.

Out of a Galileo half-sister to Derby winner Pour Moi, Pizza Bianca has a filly foal by Into Mischief and is offered, in foal to Justify, by Gainesway on behalf of Stewart's Resolute Racing.

Ma'am, the dam of this year's Kentucky Derby hero Mystik Dan, is also among the standout names in the catalogue. The Derby winner, who was also runner-up in the Preakness Stakes, is the first runner out of the 11-year-old who won twice at four.

Ma'am has a two-year-old filly by Unified named Yes Ma'am and her yearling is also a filly, named Ford's Ma'am and by Knicks Go. Her colt foal is from the first crop of Wells Bayou, and she is offered in foal to Into Mischief.

Over the weekend, Cabo Spirit revisited the winner's enclosure for the first time in two years, following his victory in the California Crown John Henry Turf Championship Stakes.

HIs Shamardal dam Fancy Day, who is out of a winning full-sister to champion Tiznow, is entered in the November Sale and offered in foal to the horse of the year Cody's Wish, who won the last two runnings of the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile.

Mares of European interest include Fev Rover, Gutaifan's Beverly D and EP Taylor Stakes winner who is listed as a racing and breeding prospect from the draft of Gainesway, and Macadamia, a winning full-sister to King Of Steel who is offered in foal to Justify.

McKulick, the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks winner by Frankel, is also in the catalogue as a racing and breeding prospect, as is this year's Poule d'Essai des Pouliches runner-up Kathmandu, by Showcasing.

Browning added: “This sale provides the highest concentration of quality of any breeding stock sale in the world, with a unique format and atmosphere that buyers from around the globe thoroughly enjoy.”

Supplementary entries for Fasig-Tipton's November Sale will be taken right through the Breeders' Cup and the catalogue is available here.
