Juddmonte lends further support to Kingman with Frankel's dam
Kind among a host of stars to visit the powerful young stallion
Juddmonte's new shining star Kingman receives the greatest endorsement from his employers in the announcement of their mating plans for 2020 as he will cover Kind, the dam of the great Frankel.
Now 19, Danehill mare Kind has also produced Frankel's Group 1 Galileo brother Noble Mision as well as stakes winners Bullet Train and Joyeuse. She slipped her Galileo foal in 2019, her ninth visit to the Coolmore colossus.
Kingman, who is now up to £150,000 after producing Classic winner Persian King from his first crop of three-year-olds, has been granted an extensive list of quality Juddmonte mares and many follow a familiar pattern.
It includes Deliberate (dam of Kingman’s dual Group 2-winning colt Headman), Helleborine (dam of Kingman’s Coventry Stakes winner Calyx) and Trojan Queen (dam of Kingman’s Hampton Court Stakes winner Sangarius).
Others to be booked are Group 1 winners Capla Temptress and Romantica, Group 2 winner Starformer, Famous Name's sister Big Break, Amser (a Frankel half-sister to Timepiece and Passage Of Time) and Group 3 winners Dandhu and Fount.
Frankel, who was the sire of five new Group 1 winners in 2019, will receive another stellar book of mares.
They include Group 1 sprinter African Rose (dam of his first Group winner Fair Eva), Proviso, Samba Inc, Special Duty, Nimble Thimble (dam of Frankel’s Fillies' Mile winner Quadrilateral), Newspaperofrecord's half-sister Classical Times and Photographic (dam of Group 3 winner Shutter Speed).
Soffia, the seven-time winner for Eddie Lynam and Lady O'Reilly who reached Group 2 level at the Curragh before being sold to new connections, was included under the Juddmonte banner in the news release and will also visit Frankel.
Oasis Dream still stands tall aged 20 and was the sire of 17 black-type performers in 2019 including Classic-placed Pretty Pollyanna and Group 2 winner Shine So Bright. Among the mares he will cover in 2020 are Occurrence (an unraced daughter of Frankel and half-sister to Group 1 winner Promising Lead from the family of blue hen Hasili) and seven-furlong Group performer Gavota.
Among a full book for Bated Breath are Ombre (dam of his own Gavota), Sacred Shield (dam of Listed winners Crossed Baton and Viadera), Group 3 winner Vote Often (a full-sister to Group 1 heroine Proportional); Showcasing's full-sister Tendu and Strelka (a winning half-sister to Workforce).
The fifth resident of Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud is Breeders' Cup Mile winner Expert Eye, who is reported to have 21 of his first foals on the ground.
His breeders will support him further with the likes of dual Group 1 winner Heat Haze (a daughter of the Hasili and dam of Group 3 winner Mirage Dancer), Atone (a winning full-sister to the brilliant Midday), Across The Floor (a half-sister to Flintshire) and Palmette (a full-sister to Showcasing).
Others to have been inked in are Group 2 winner Modern Look (dam of US Grade 3 winner Grand Jete), Tiadargent (a sister to Restiadargent) and Listed winners Rostova, Swiss Range, Scottish Jig and Variable.
