Into Mischief raised to $175,000 as Spendthrift announces 2020 fees
Leading US sire headlines a 24-strong roster
Into Mischief, leading light of B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farm, is already booked full with his fee moved up to $175,000 for 2020.
Sire of notable performers this season such as Mia Mischief, Audible, Owendale and Covfefe as well as the leader of the general classifications, the 14-year-old has risen from $150,000.
The Lexington-based farm has announced the tariffs for most of its roster of 24 stallions and is bringing in five new stallions for 2020, four of which are being pointed to the Breeders’ Cup next month at Santa Anita.
Among those are Breeders' Cup Classic contender Vino Rosso, Breeders’ Cup Sprint contender Mitole, Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile candidate Coal Front, and Omaha Beach, who could compete in the Classic, Sprint or Dirt Mile. Stud fees for all four horses will be determined upon retirement.
Goldencents, who is having an outstanding season, will also have his 2020 fee determined and announced after the Breeders’ Cup, where his first-crop three-year-old colt Mr Money will compete in the Dirt Mile.
Perennial leading sire Malibu Moon will stand for $60,000 after another banner year that has already included siring two new Grade 1 winners. Leading his charge is Breeders' Cup F&M Sprint contender Come Dancing, a four-time graded winner in 2019.
