The Gurkha's first fee set in Coolmore's prices for 2017

Dual Group 1 winner The Gurkha will start his stallion career at Coolmore at a fee of €25,000 next year, while fellow newcomer Pride Of Dubai has been pitched at €15,000.

The Gurkha was a wide-margin winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains this season before he finished second in the St James's Palace Stakes and Eclipse, and on his last start he defeated Galileo Gold to land the Sussex Stakes.

Pride Of Dubai, meanwhile, is a son of Street Cry who was a dual Group 1 winner at two in his native Australia in the Blue Diamond Stakes and Inglis Sires Stakes.

The Gurkha's sire Galileo has carried all before him in the European sire standings this season, with progeny earnings of more than
£16 million, and he will stand his tenth consecutive season at a private fee at Coolmore in 2017.

Also listed as private is Fastnet Rock, who has clicked so well with Galileo mares to supply this year's Group 1-winning two-year-olds Intricately and Rivet.

Gleneagles has had his fee reduced to €40,000 from €60,000 in his second year at Coolmore, while cuts have also been applied to the prices for Australia (€35,000 from €50,000), Zoffany (€35,000 from €45,000) and Mastercraftsman (€25,000 from €35,000) among others.

Triple Classic hero Camelot, whose first two-year-olds race next year, is the one sire to receive a fee increase, up to €35,000 from €25,000.

Coolmore director of sales David O'Loughlin said: "Many of our clients trade in sterling so in response to its decline in value we have reduced the fees for the majority of our stallions. They are now very competitively priced and we look forward to doing plenty of business.
