Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up and Horses in Training Sale catalogue out
Auction features 327 lots
Tattersalls has catalogued 327 lots for its Guineas Breeze-Up and Horses in Training Sale – 234 in the former category and 93 in the latter.
The auction takes place May 3-4, with the two-year-olds breezing on the Rowley Mile on the first day at 9am and selling getting under way at 10am on the following day.
The breeze-up sale – source of last year's Nell Gwyn Stakes winner and 1,000 Guineas third Daban – features progeny of blue-chip sires such as Dark Angel, Exceed And Excel, Invincible Spirit, Kodiac, Lope De Vega, Shamardal, Showcasing and Siyouni.
US-based names who feature in the index of sires include Exchange Rate, Giant's Causeway, Kitten's Joy, Malibu Moon, Speightstown and Scat Daddy.
Among the horses in training on offer are the 104-rated Unabated from Marco Botti and the unexposed and useful-looking pair Nice Shot and Silchester from David Simcock.
Commenting on the catalogue, Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up horses continue to win at the highest level on the global stage and this year's catalogue has an abundance of quality two-year-olds in training as well as high-class proven horses in training.
“The combination of breeze-up horses with older horses-in-training has proved to be a popular format and we are confident that we have a catalogue that will appeal to buyers from Britain, Ireland and further afield."
The breeze will be shown live on Racing UK.
