Stud plans for 'sore' colt still to be decided

Japanese Classic winner suffered career-ending injury in June

Plans are still being formulated for the stud career of 2015 Japanese champion and dual Classic winner Duramente, who was injured when slipping after a fast–finishing neck runner-up in the Grade 1 Takarazuka Kinen at Hanshin Racecourse on June 26.

Shunsuke Yoshida, who oversees the Sunday Racing Club stable that owns Duramente, said during the Japan Racing Horse Association Select Sale in Hokkaido that Duramente is still sore after injuring the suspensory ligament in his left foreleg.

The four–year–old colt by former Japanese leading sire King Kamehameha is currently resting at the Shigaraki training centre outside Hanshin that is owned by Katsumi Yoshida's Northern Farm.
