Solicitor Walsh given director role at Irish National Stud

Solicitor Dairine Walsh has been appointed as a new director of the Irish National Stud.

Walsh is described in a statement from Ireland's Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine as "an experienced company director" and as having "extensive experience in strategic planning and marketing".

The department's minister, Michael Creed TD, also confirmed the re-appointment of leading trainer Jessica Harrington, Mark Weld, son of trainer Dermot, and businessman Dr Sean Brady to the board of the Irish National Stud.
