Shadwell announces new marketing and nominations manager
Pennington replaces a fellow National Stud diploma graduate
Shadwell has appointed Tom Pennington as its new marketing and nominations manager.
Pennington replaces fellow National Stud diploma course graduate Rachael Gowland, who is joining the team at the British European Breeders' Fund.
He has gained experience working for Watership Down Stud, Andrew Balding and Kitchwin Hills in Australia. He also spent four years as assistant bloodstock editor at the Racing Post.
Shadwell Stud director Richard Lancaster said: “We are very fortunate to have recruited Tom to replace Rachael. We feel Tom will be the person to take Shadwell’s marketing and nominations programme forward.
“Rachael has done a fantastic job in the role and in Tom we are sure we have found the ideal replacement for such an important role.”
Pennington added: “I’m hugely excited to be joining the team at Shadwell as they launch two exciting young stallions in Muhaarar and Mukhadram.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-renowned organisation and I look forward to further strengthening the reputation of Shadwell for excellence.”
