Power off the mark with his first winner in New Zealand
Daughter Gift Of Power scores over four furlongs at Wanganui
Coolmore shuttler Power became the first of this year's Australasian freshman sires to post a winner when his daughter Gift Of Power burned off her rivals to score in a 4f maiden at Wanganui in New Zealand on Saturday.
The Graeme and Debbie Rogerson-trained filly was also the first southern-hemisphere runner for the son of Oasis Dream.
Power shuttles to Cambridge Stud in New Zealand and the operation's supremo Sir Patrick Hogan bred Gift Of Power and retained a stake in her when she was sold for NZ$180,000 (£98,785/€117,700) as a yearling at Karaka this year.
