Plenty more well-bred juveniles waiting in the wings
War Front now sits second by progeny earnings among sires of European two-year-olds
An excellent season for War Front in the two-year-old department in Europe continued apace on Monday as the Kentucky-based stallion notched another two new winners at Naas.
Leo Minor instigated the double with a half-length victory on his third start in the 6f conditions race that opened the card and the well-fancied Whitecliffsofdover completed it with an all-the-way success in the 7f maiden two hours later.
Both colts are trained by Aidan O'Brien for Coolmore, who have thrown their weight behind War Front by breeding to him and buying his stock at auction and have been rewarded this year with three individual two-year-old Group winners by the sire - Brave Anna in the Albany Stakes, Roly Poly in the Grangecon Stud Stakes and Duchess of Cambridge Stakes, and War Decree in the Vintage Stakes last week.
