Mecca's Angel gives sister in Book 1 a boost
Back-to-back Nunthorpe wins for daughter of Dark Angel
Mecca's Angel proved once again that the mating of her sire Dark Angel with her dam Folga is a match made in heaven with a dominant two-length victory in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York.
The result will be music to the ears of her breeder, who are set to offer her sister at the yearling sales this autumn.
The five-year-old mare - trained by Michael Dods for owner David Metcalfe - has now won ten of her 18 starts and her prize haul also includes last year's Nunthorpe and last month's Group 2 Sapphire Stakes at the Curragh.
