A golden summer for Galileo continued on Saturday when son Highland Reel made all to land the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot in authoritative manner.

The four-year-old saw off the late challenge of the year-younger Wings Of Desire by one and a quarter lengths.

Wings Of Desire, a son of Pivotal and Listed winner Gull Wing, filled the same position as his brother Eagle Top did in last year's renewal.
