John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms release 2018 covering fees

On the back of announcing an increased fee for leading freshman sire Violence, John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms have released the 2018 covering fees for the other stallions on the operation's roster.

Thanks to Cloud Computing's stunning success in the Preakness Stakes in May, a result that provided his sire with a Grade 1 winner from his first crop, Maclean's Music's fee has increased to $25,000, up from the $8,500 he stood at this year.

Outstanding racehorse and leading US sire Curlin will stand at a fee of $150,000 for the second consecutive year and five-time Group/Grade 1 performer Flintshire remains at $20,000.

Midnight Lute, the sire of Grade 1 winners Midnight Lucky and Shakin It Up, will stand at $15,000, down from $20,000 in 2017, while New Year's Day's fee goes the other way, increasing from $3,500 to $5,000.

A number of stallions remain unchanged for 2018 with Atreides and Secret Circle both staying at $5,000, and Bayern, Kantharos and Stormy Atlantic all again available at $15,000.

It was recently announced that leading turf sire Kitten's Joy was relocating from Ramsey Farm to Hill 'n' Dale, with the move also bringing about a reduction in fee from $100,000 to $60,000, while Violence has had his fee upped to $25,000 for 2018 from $15,000.
