The Irish Thoroughbred Breeders' Association has announced Connolly's Red Mills as partner for the ITBA Expo 2018, which will take place at Goffs on January 26 and 27.

The expo will bring together over 90 exhibitors to present and sell their products and services to thoroughbred enthusiasts, showcasing the latest advances in technology, machinery, veterinary science and equine nutrition.

With more than 3,500 people expected to attend over the two days, the expo will feature a range of educational and commercial presentations and workshops, with the first day focusing on careers and education and the second concentrating on technology and innovation.

An extensive event programme will be launched in the coming weeks.

ITBA chief executive Shane O'Dwyer said: "The Irish breeding and racing industry has long been renowned globally for its excellence. ITBA Expo '18 will enhance this reputation by showcasing the latest innovations in technology, veterinary medicine, equine nutrition, stallion selection, land management and machinery.

"We're excited to be partnering with the team at Connolly's Red Mills who will bring a wealth of experience and global insight to the expo. We're all aware of the challenges facing our industry but this Expo and particularly our forum 'What if - A vision for 2028' will be about identifying the solutions and stimulating action.

"We're looking forward to announcing our panel in the coming weeks."

Animal nutrition company Connolly's Red Mills exports to 74 countries and is a growing force as since 2015 its workforce has increased by 100 to 320.

Gareth Connolly, sales and marketing director at the company, said: "Connolly's Red Mills is a global brand, exporting to 74 countries, however our business is rooted in Ireland and we are committed to the future development of the Irish thoroughbred, equine and rural industries. The ITBA Expo '18 will provide a platform to reflect on the key learnings over the last ten years and create the opportunity to map the vision for the next ten; we are looking forward to being part of this exciting event."
