Helene Paragon wins his second Group 1 for little-known sire
Polan has had one other runner in France to date
Helene Paragon, who ran under the name Sir Andrew in France, has struck for the second time at the highest level at Sha Tin when landing the Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup on Sunday and is proving to be a top-class performer for his sire from only a couple of runners.
The five-year-old entire took the lead a furlong out to see off the Shamardal gelding Able Friend by three-quarters of a length. Joyful Trinity, by Haras de Grandcamp resident Zanzibari, completed the first three home, who are all trained by John Moore.
Helene Paragon was following up on his success in the Stewards' Cup last month, with Joyful Trinity and Able Friend again completing the first three. Helene Paragon was purchased privately by Sackville Donald bloodstock agency.
Polan, a 12-year-old son of Golan, has had one other runner to date in France, Polcheka, who a 7f race at Dax.
Bred by Angel Jordan Torres, Helene Paragon is the only winner out of the High Chaparral mare High Zaff, who won two races in Italy and is one of three winners out of the winning Danehill mare Zaffrani. He is from the family of Listed winner Thank You Bye Bye.
High Zaff also has a three-year-old filly Alejandria, by Alexandros.
