Godolphin field two runners for the 1m1f maiden for three-year-old fillies, the Prix Talweg, at Chantilly on Tuesday at 1.10pm (12.10pm GMT), and both of them are out of racemares that have won at the highest level.

A Darley homebred, Blue Illusion has a striking pedigree, by Darley stalwart Dubawi out of the dual Classic heroine Blue Bunting.

Trained by Henri-Alex Pantall, it has been nearly six months since Blue Illusion's only previous start, when she was tailed off in a Newmarket maiden for Charlie Appleby. Pantall will be hoping he has eked some improvement out of the filly for her switch to France.

Blue Bunting won the Listed Montrose Fillies' Stakes at Newmarket as a juvenile and excelled at three, with a commanding win in the 1,000 Guineas on her first start of 2011.

She was fourth in the Oaks on her next start, before landing the Irish version by a short head from the high-class filly Banimpire. Her fifth and final victory came in the Yorkshire Oaks, giving her a third top-flight success.

Blue Bunting has also produced the Meydan scorer Blue Creek, a colt by Street Cry, and has a two-year-old colt by New Approach and a yearling colt by Dansili.

Making her debut, the other well-bred runner for Godolphin is Cadencia, a daughter of Shamardal out of Baila Me trained by Andre Fabre.

Baila Me, a daughter of Samum, won the Group 1 Preis von Europa at three, before transferring to Saeed bin Suroor who won two more Listed races with her at four and five.

Baila Me is a sister to Be Fabulous, the Andre Fabre-trained winner of the Prix Royal-Oak, and half-sister to the dual Listed winner Bailamos.

She also has a two-year-old colt by New Approach and a yearling filly by Sea The Stars.
