Dylan Mouth to stand at Worsall Grange
He will first be aimed at the Melbourne Cup for Earle Mack
Italian Group 1 winner Dylan Mouth will stand at Worsall Grange in Yorkshire on the completion of his racing career.
Racing and minority breeding rights in the six-year-old were recently acquired by Earle Mack, who intends the son of Dylan Thomas to become his latest challenger for the Emirates Melbourne Cup. Previous runners in Mack's colours were Manighar, who tried twice and hit the front halfway down the straight before fading into fifth in 2011, and Mad Rush, who started favourite when seventh in 2008. Dylan Mouth will remain with his current trainer Marco Botti.
Dylan Mouth was bred by Azienda Agricola Mariano out of the Group 3-winning Noverre mare Cottonmouth, making him a three-parts brother to the Listed winner Per Un Dixir.
The entire's previous owners, Scuderia Effevi, have retained some breeding rights in the triple top-level scorer.
Aaron Anderson, bloodstock manager at Worsall Grange, said: "He's been bought as a stallion prospect and the intention is for him to retire at the end of this season to join Millenary and Cannock Chase at Worsall.
"He's a three-time Group 1 winner, from a good family, and a big, strong robust horse who has had pace to win over a mile. When everyone says speed and stamina is disappearing in the UK, here's your answer."
