Coolmore stalwart Flemensfirth to stand at career-high €15,000

Flemensfirth will be the most expensive stallion on Coolmore's National Hunt roster when he covers at a career-high fee of €15,000 in 2018.

A 25-year-old son of Alleged, Flemensfirth has been in great form this month having been represented by several winners including Grade 3 scorer Robinsfirth and is all set to cover his 21st consecutive book of mares at Beeches Stud in County Waterford next year.

This year saw his fee raised to €12,000, having stood the previous seven seasons at a fee of €10,000. His latest fee increase to €15,000 will see him be available at the same price as Haras de Montaigu resident Martaline.

It also makes him more expensive than another leading jumps sire in Overbury Stud's Kayf Tara, who stood the 2017 season at £10,000.

Soldier Of Fortune, the busiest sire in Britain and Ireland this year having covered an increased book of 352 mares, is another to receive a rise from €6,000 in 2017 to €8,000 in 2018 at Beeches Stud.

Getaway has caught the impression of many thanks to the success of his stock in recent days. The 14-year-old son of Monsun has had his fee increased from €6,500 to €7,500 for 2018 at Grange Stud.

Also earning a slight increase in price for 2018 is Milan, the sire of top-class jumpers Jezki and One For Arthur, to €8,000 from €7,500. The 19-year-old son of Sadler's Wells will stand again at Grange Stud.
