Graduates of the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale have enjoyed a productive time of it on the racecourse this year, and the auction house has released the catalogue for the 2017 renewal of the sale, with 470 yearlings due to come under the hammer in Doncaster.

The exploits of this year's Group 1 heroes Barney Roy and Harry Angel have further advertised the high-class performers that can be sourced from this sale. Another notable graduate to have tasted Group 1 success in recent years is Henry Candy's Limato, winner of the July Cup and Prix de la Foret.

Standout lots due to go through the ring include the Mukhadram half-sister to impressive Railway Stakes winner Beckford (Lot 355) and a Frankel filly, who becomes the first offspring by the dual world champion to sell at Doncaster, out of the classy performer Ladies Are Forever (120).

Also of interest is a Kodiac filly (191), consigned by Newsells Park Stud, out of a half-sister to the outstanding mare Goldikova, and a Charm Spirit half-sister (406) to Group 3 scorer Robin Hoods Bay from the family of Group 1 winner Postponed.

Another intriguing lot comes from Stockwell Thoroughbreds in the shape of a Starspangledbanner filly (385). She was bred in the southern hemisphere to northern hemisphere time and is out of a half-sister to New Zealand Group 2 winner and the Group 1-placed Hasselhoof.

Goffs UK managing director Tony Williams said: "The stature of the Doncaster Premier Sale has grown significantly in recent years and the 2017 catalogue is without a doubt another big leap forward. We have worked hard with consignors over the last few years to develop the quality of yearlings offered and we are delighted and most thankful to those who have entered some outstanding yearlings.

"The results achieved on the track this season, headed by Group 1-winning three-year-olds Barney Roy and Harry Angel, are a big boost to this sale's rapidly growing international reputation and are evidence of its ability to produce some of the best horses in Europe."
