This year's Belmont Stakes winner Creator has been sold by owners WinStar Farm and Bobby Flay to the Japan Bloodhorse Breeders' Association, which intends to retire him to stand at Shizunai Stallion Station in Hokkaido from next year.

The son of Tapit won a maiden at Oaklawn Park by over seven lengths in February before finishing third in the Grade 2 Rebel Stakes, winning the Grade 1 Arkansas Derby and running 13th behind Nyquist in the Kentucky Derby.

On Creator's next start he gained his Classic win when defeating Destin by a nose to land the Belmont, although he has disappointed in his subsequent starts in the Jim Dandy Stakes and Travers.
