Awtaad and Markaz join Derrinstown Stud roster for 2017

Derrinstown Stud will welcome two new stallions to its roster for the 2017 breeding season in the shape of Group 1 hero Awtaad and the multiple Group-winning sprinter Markaz.
Owned and bred by Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum out of the Listed-placed and winning Shamardal mare Asheerah, Awtaad was trained by Kevin Prendergast to win five races.
Having finished third on his debut behind Black Sea in a 7f maiden at the Curragh, he went on to claim a 7f maiden at Leopardstown on his final start at two.
