Alpha Delphini a first stakes winner for his sire
Five-year-old is one of four winners produced by his dam
Alpha Delphini emulated his half-brother Tangerine Trees with victory in the Listed Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes on Saturday, and became the first stakes winner for his sire Captain Gerrard in the process.
The five-year-old gelding was bred by Marie Matthews out of Easy To Imagine, an unraced daughter of Cozzene and Coronation Stakes third Zarani Sidi Anna.
Easy To Imagine has produced four winners from as many runners, most notably Tangerine Trees, who was saddled by Alpha Delphini's trainer Bryan Smart to win the Beverley Bullet and Prix de l'Abbaye in 2011.
