Al Wukair reduced from €15,000 to €8,000 ahead of debut season
Son of Dream Ahead won the Prix Jacques le Marois
Al Shaqab has announced that Group 1 winner Al Wukair has had his fee adjusted from €15,000 to €8,000 ahead of his first season at Haras de Bouquetot in 2018.
The three-year-old son of Dream Ahead secured his biggest victory when landing the Prix Jacques le Marois, having earlier finished third behind Churchill in the 2,000 Guineas.
On the decision to reduce Al Wukair's fee ahead of his debut season Benoit Jeffroy, manager of Haras de Bouquetot, said: "We were amongst the first to announce our stud fees and syndication in France this year.
"With the increasing number of stallions retiring this year, and with Dream Ahead's stud fee remaining unchanged despite a good season, we have decided to readjust Al Wukair's fee to position him as one of the best valued stallions on the market."
