Too Darn Hot has become the latest stallion to sire his first foal, with a colt out of I'm So Fancy arriving at New England Stud.

Commenting on the newborn, New England stud manager Peter Stanley said: "He's a lovely, quality foal with a great outlook. If all Too Darn Hot's foals look like this, he will be a very exciting young stallion."

The colt was bred by Lael Stables out of I'm So Fancy, a daughter of the little-known Danehill stallion Rajj, who won the Group 3 Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes for Jessica Harrington before transferring to Arnaud Delacour in the US, where she won the Grade 3 Matchmaker Stakes.

Too Darn Hot, a brilliantly bred son of Dubawi out of the Group 1-winning Dar Re Mi, retired to Darley's Dalham Hall Stud after a top-class racing career. He went unbeaten during a sensational juvenile season that culminated with a wide-margin win in the Dewhurst Stakes.

He added two further Group 1s at three, seeing off Space Blues by three lengths to win the Prix Jean Prat before he got the better of Circus Maximus to claim the Sussex Stakes.

He covered a star-studded debut book of mares at a fee of £50,000 in his first season on stallion duty. Among the 172-strong book were 97 (56 per cent) stakes performers, 33 of whom (19 per cent) won either a Group 1, 2 or 3.

Among the celebrities names on his dance card were Group 1 winners such as Blue Bunting, Ghanaati, Nahoodh, Passage Of Time, Simple Verse and Sultanina, while he also covered the dams of Arabian Queen, Beauty Parlour, Dolniya, Galileo Gold, Journey, Lord North, Masar, Talent and Quorto.

Too Darn Hot will stand the 2021 season at £45,000.
