Group 1 winner Silverwave on the move to Burgage Stud from France

Burgage Stud has announced the acquisition of Group 1 winner Silverwave, who will relocate from Haras de la Cote Fleurie in France for the upcoming covering season.
The son of Silver Frost won ten races aged between two and seven on a variety of goings, including the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in 2016 and the likes of the Group 2 Prix Foy.
Silverwave is the sire of last month's Grade 1 Prix de Craon winner Louisa Banbou, who followed up in the Grade 2 Prix Glorieuse at Saint-Cloud recently. The four-year-old is currently rated the best female bumper performer in France. His early jump-centred results had caught the eye of Burgage's Victor Connolly.
He said: "Burgage Stud is delighted to announce the arrival of the Group 1 winner Silverwave from France. Standing at 16.3 hands, the physically imposing Silverwave had a landmark result on September 4 when his four-year-old daughter Louisa Banbou won a Grade 1 bumper, having previously scored at Grade 2 and Grade 3 level. She is currently the best bumper mare in France. Silverwave also had two additional stakes performers last month.
"The ability to sire a Grade 1 winner from his first crop of runners puts Silverwave in the same category as previous high-class Burgage Stud sires Shantou and Jukebox Jury, who also achieved the same feat from their first runners."
A fee will be announced at a later date.
